Technical Editing and Ghost Writing for Quilt Pattern Designers

Have you created a beautiful quilt design but don't have the time—or patience—to write the pattern? I can help! As a quilt pattern ghostwriter, I transform your design into a professionally written, ready-to-publish pattern.

Already written a pattern but want to ensure it's the best it can be? As a technical editor, I refine your patterns to make them polished, professional, and crystal clear for quilters of all skill levels.

I'm passionate about travel, and the beautiful cultures, destinations, and nature around the world are my biggest inspiration. I love working with other designers to bring their patterns to life, combining my eye for detail with a deep appreciation for the artistry in every quilt.

Technical Editing and Ghost Writing for Quilt Pattern Designers

Bring your quilt tops to life with professional longarm quilting! I offer both digital edge-to-edge designs and custom all-over free motion quilting to beautifully finish your projects.

Life experiences are the inspiration. We all have common experiences, yet each holds our own individual stories and memories that make them unique. Those shared experiences shape each pattern and provide a framework for your specific memories to tie into the quilt, allowing it to hold precious moments and become an ongoing part of your life's journey.

Whether you're looking for the precision of computerized patterns or the artistry of free motion work, I'll help you choose the perfect quilting style to complement your quilt and honor the story it tells.

Quilt Pattern Design

We all have common experiences, yet each holds our own individual stories and memories that make them unique. Those shared experiences shape each pattern I create and provide a framework for your specific experiences to tie into the quilt, allowing it to hold memories and be an ongoing part of your life's journey.

I write quilt patterns that hold and tell stories through symbolism with a modern take on traditional piecing. My work is rooted in honoring the intent behind each project—whether it's commemorating a loved one, celebrating a milestone, or preserving a cherished memory.

Custom Quilt Design and Creation

My name is Pam Jones and I'm the owner/operator of Walking in The Way Quilting. WITWQ was born of the idea that each quilt has a purpose and each quilt tells a story, as do the lives of the individuals creating them. After more than 30 years of creating my own quilts for artistic expression and inspiration, charity, gift giving, fundraising, comfort and healing, I've begun a journey quilting with and for others who hold the same mission.

I create custom quilts from start to finish—design, piecing, quilting, binding, and labeling—all crafted to your exact specifications. My passion is honoring the intent of each client's project and creating quilts that honor the people who matter most.

Longarm Quilting • Memory & T-Shirt Quilting • Quilting Education

My artistry lies in turning fabric and thread into keepsakes that comfort, celebrate, and carry forward stories worth remembering. I offer professional longarm quilting services with thoughtful, consistent edge-to-edge designs that beautifully complement your work. I create memory and T-shirt quilts, transforming cherished clothing and fabrics into meaningful quilts that preserve precious memories.

I draw inspiration from my family, my service, and the people whose quilts pass through my hands. Whether I'm quilting for a veteran through Quilts of Valor, teaching someone to preserve their loved one's shirts, or guiding a beginner through their first finish, I'm driven by the belief that quilting connects us—to our past, our creativity, and to one another.

Through quilting education, I empower others to create their own meaningful projects, sharing techniques and knowledge that help quilters at every level bring their visions to life.

Let me help you create quilts that connect, comfort, and carry your stories forward.

Longarm Quilting

I inherited my grandma’s gene for the love of sewing! I’ve been sewing since I was about 7 or 8 years old — making stuffed animals, doll clothes, and even pieces for my own wardrobe. I started quilting and piecing about ten years ago, and I haven’t looked back.

I absolutely love quilting and finding just the right designs to finish a quilt in a way that really shows off the maker’s piecing. I’ve primarily been a free-motion and ruler-work quilter, but I recently added computerized quilting to my services, which has been so much fun to explore.

My favorite part is seeing a quilt fully finished and knowing it’s going on to be treasured — whether it’s being gifted or simply loved and used by its maker.
